Our History
John Richards established his surplus business together with his wife Joyce in 1955, dealing in ex–military
surplus stock, including Land Rovers and
Motorcycles. Andrew Richards joined his father in the business in 1973 and in turn Alistair, Andrew’s eldest son, joined
the family business in 1995 .
This 3 way partnership
continued for 9 years and expanded it’s
interests to general surplus and all forms of motor vehicles until the unfortunate passing of John Richards in December
2004. Andrew then took over Trade Sales
& Purchasing, whilst Alistair took on the responsibility for Retail
Sales at the business premises at the Smithy in Hinstock, near Market Drayton in Shropshire.
